Colette was the heroine of the original game. After the reuniting of the worlds, the Chosen system was abolished, thus, Colette was the final Chosen of Mana.

She decides to perform this role by aiding the people of the united world. Because of this, the Vanguard opposes her, and targets her with their attacks.
