Tales of Destiny
A young man named Stahn Aileron had a dream of becoming known throughout the world as the greatest Master Swordsman ever. So he set his sights on the land of Seinegald, sneaking on board a Draconis for transportation, only to have it attacked in mid-air by roving monsters.

Fortunately, he was saved by the Swordian, Dymlos, whom he found aboard the Draconis. From that moment on, Stahn's destiny was changed forever.....

Absolute Zero & Phantasian Productions Working on Fan Translation

Tales of Destiny

As you've probably seen around the internet on various forums and websites, Absolute Zero (headed by throughhim, who's working on the Tales of Innocence translation) & Phantasian Productions (headed by Cless, who's known for working on the Tales of Phantasia (PSX) and Tales of Destiny 2 (PS2) translations) are working together on a translation of the Director's Cut version of the PlayStation2 remake of Tales of Destiny.

They had planned to keep the project, which was secretly in the works since the Director's Cut version was released in Japan last January, but Penance's translation project on the official Tales of forums caused them to reveal the translation early (Cless was planning on revealing the game once his Phantasia translation was finished). They will be releasing a menu patch at first, followed by a full translation of the game. As with both of their prior translations, it will be done as if Namco-Bandai was releasing the game at retail, so the production values will be very high.

Although we have the images on our Gallery (look for Gallery (DC) under the Tales of Destiny "tab" under the PlayStation2 section above), please comment on either Absolute Zero's blog post or Phantasian Productions's forum.

Lyrics Lyrics

  • Kanji
