The updating of the Gallery is now finished. The one small change I made is that if, let's say, IGN was the only folder in Mini Game screenshots, we removed that folder, like with a Tales Channel folder. The rest of the changes previously mentioned were also implemented. We hope this reduces the number of "clicks" needed, but still makes it easy to find images for a certain source.
In general updates, every section of the website, save the Forum, has been updated with the new code in the banner/Quicklinks. The reason for the Forum not being updated is due to a larger update that needs to be done there, so it makes no sense to do a small update at the moment, just for that. Also, the "Latest News" rotator should be updated in a few minutes.
As for as future site updates, the minor "tag" revisions and the Forum update will be next up. Then a update to mySymphonic to add some new clubs/fanlistings/etc. Then we'll have some more content. : )

You may have noticed some changes at the Gallery lately. We have been going through the files, fixing up some issues that popped up since the initial launch, and making the script more user-friendly.
To that point, let's say each character only had one piece of artwork, or you only had screenshots from Tales Channel. Before, you had to go "inside" the folder, even if there was only one image, or screenshots from one source. Now, for characters with only one piece of artwork, or games (namely Japan-only) with screenshots solely from Tales Channel, you will not have to go through extra folders.
Now, let's say we find more artwork, or screenshots from another source. Then, of course, they will be recategorized into folders like before. But until then, there's less clicks for you to make. : )
This is currently implemented through the GameBoy Color section, which makes about 1/8 of the Gallery following this new rule. The rest of the sections will be revised in the next few weeks.
A few other small bugs/CSS fixes were made, but were very minor in scale. We are also trying to implement the new "Highslide" JavaScript image viewing application that is used on the boxarts on the main site into the Gallery --- once the technical work is done, it should be relatively simple to implement. ; )
UPDATE: Just a heads up on our progress so far. We have up to Tales of Destiny (PSX) finished, which is a little over 50%. It should be finished sometime this weekend, if time allows.

After moving over to winged.info's Gallery script, the Gallery was having some CSS issues, as well as putting ellipses on the folders if they exceeded eleven characters. Both issues were fixed, and all of the images from our Coppermine-powered Gallery have been reuploaded.
Some images were removed, and some were reorganized. We hope this allows you to find the images you need faster & easier. As an example, the Characters folder is now in the "root" of a game, instead of in the Artwork folder.
The only outstanding issue left to fix is that the script wants to organize the folders by the last upload, instead of their filename (alphabetically). So if one of the staff members uploads a image into an older folder, that will go to the "top" of the list. Naturally, this makes trying to find a folder a "guessing game" after a while. We are working to try to fix this issue (likely, it will be a small code change, like what was done to remove the ellipses).
Note that from now on, we will be linking to the Gallery, instead of attaching images to the Forum (since this doesn't have the "max filesize" issue Coppermine had). We will be "fixing" the URL's in the next few months on the older news posts to reflect this new change (as well as to remove unneeded files from the database).
UPDATE: The "sorting" was fixed thanks to ZAP @ MODx CMS. Now the Gallery should be sorting images according to their filename, instead of the last updated folder.

All of the scans that had been released in the last few weeks, as well as some screenshots & merchandise, have been uploaded to the Gallery. I apologize for letting these images stack up --- I've been working on things in the backend file-wise, moving stuff around to make things more tidy and removing some old folders we no longer use, which has been taking up some of my free time. The list of updates are below (I am planning to post a list like this in future Gallery updates). Also, the current total of images in the Gallery is now at 5502. : )

A few days ago, Coppermine Gallery released v1.4.15, which closed some security holes and fixed some minor bugs. We have updated Symphonic Heaven's Gallery, with no problems that can be seen. This update should not affect any of our visitors.
We also added the "batch" of images/scans that had been released recently, whether through Famitsu, V-Jump, or Tales Channel. This brings our total to 5462 images total, spanning 808 albums & 426 categories, with 19,954 total pageviews. ^ . ^
We have a few scans that total almost 2 MB, which cannot be added normally to our Gallery (although it can be done via uploading a small file, then replacing it w/ the larger image) --- these will be added at a later date, since we have to scan the server for those files.
(The Mobile/Cellphone revamp just finished yesterday, btw. Hopefully, the remaining two sections will be done by the end of this week, or sometime next week at the latest.)

After a few good months of work, Symphonic Heaven's Gallery is finally back online 100%, with grand total of 5,392 images, 788 albums, 424 categories, and 18,790 total unique page views. This is only missing a few character artwork images for two Tales of Mobile games, since we are waiting on translations of the names from the official website.
Now that the Gallery is finished, site revamping can take place. However, I will be applying bug fixes / upgrades / etc. to all of our non-site features, such as the Gallery, Oekaki, etc. The Oekaki upgrade will revert the template back to the default one used for the script --- I hope to create a proper template a few months down the road once the site-related stuff is out of the way.
(FYI --- the Directory will be removed when I start revamping the non-site features. I will be removing it's link above, since it will be 'integrated" into the website. A link to our Video section on the forum will be added in its place.)

If you've checked out our Gallery in the last few days, you've probably noticed a bunch of new categories and albums added. I decided that the habit of doing a site update, then a gallery update, and so on was counter-productive. Therefore, I will upload all the remaining files to the Gallery, then finish updating the rest of the content.
The following sections had files uploaded today...
- Tales of Phantasia (GBA)
- Merchandise
- Fanart
The second section is "new" for this iteration of the Gallery. I will have images of all the Tales-related merchandise, such as all the card images of Tales of My Shuffle (AFAIK, no other site has uploaded all of them yet), manga, etc. Expect random updates / files from the games to be moved over here as I re-categorize the files and gather new images from the web (I already have a few bookmarks of manga images, as an example, waiting to be downloaded and saved).
In the Fanart section, we have Evelyne Li's fanart re-added (sorted by game, instead of the previous system based on what type of drawing it was --- this will be used for other fanartists), although we cannot link to her website, since it went MIA a few months ago. x_x
We also have Mutenroushi's fanart. This user is a member at the official Tales forum, and we are ecstatic to be able to show off their fanart on Symphonic Heaven.
Before I end this news post, I would like to wish our visitors a Merry Christmas (or whatever holiday you celebrate at this time of year). On that note, I might have some small Gallery or LiveJournal (yes, I know I forgot the Voting posts --- I was busy and couldn't make the news posts) during the 24th/25th, but nothing major. I'd think this is a good time to take a little site-work break.
UPDATE (12/24): These Gallery sections were updated this morning...
- Tales of the World: Narikiri Dungeon 2
- Tales of the World: Narikiri Dungeon 3
- Tales of the World: Summoner's Lineage
- Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon
- Tales of Eternia: Online

The entire Nintendo DS section of our Gallery is now back online, which added almost 400 new images to our total.
This was in preparation for revamping the Nintendo DS section of our website with the new "tag" system (since we needed the Gallery back up for that section to show off the Latest Gallery Images).
Also, the PlayStation Portable section on the website is now back online. I thought it would have been better to talk about this here, instead of in five different news posts (imagine the news updates when the Tales of Mobile section would come back online xd).
Lastly, as a site-wide update, the CSS for the data tables on the website has been changed. Now, when you "hover" over the data, a new border/background color appears. We changed this to help "show" where the mouse is hovering over the content (which should help those of you with less-than-perfect eyesight).

The entire PSP section of our Gallery is now back online, which added almost 1,000 new images to the our total.
This was in preparation for revamping the PSP section of our website with the new "tag" system (since we needed the Gallery back up for that section to show off the Latest Gallery Images). This will also happen in the future for the Nintendo DS, GameBoy Advance, etc. sections as we finish up the section before it.
Finals week is over for me, so there's a chance I might have all of the sections redone before New Year's Eve --- or at least a good chunk of it done. After that's over with, the new Blog system, as well as some other new additions to the mySymphonic will be implemented. Plus some other secret surprises...
...alright, I'll give you guys a hint. It will involve the 10th Anniversary of the Tales series in North America. But as to what it will be --- you'll just have to wait and see. ; )

The Gallery has been upgraded to Coppermine v1.4.14, which was mainly a security fix with some small bug fixes. Nothing should have been affected by this upgrade.
After a closer look at the upgrading for the Oekaki, it will need to be manually updated (that means checking+comparing the old code with the current code), so that will naturally take a while (almost 100+ edits need to be made). The Forum will also be updated will some new plugins and a few new arcade games, along with November's new post/loading icons. Expect these done during sometime during this weekend.
(As an FYI, there might be some small downtime this weekend / early next week, while I am recoding some of the scripts the CMS uses to display the content. These changes should increase the loading speed for the content, as well as take some of the load off of our servers. At the most, this should only last a few hours on the work is started.)

Yes, we had mentioned before that no Gallery posts would be made until all of the images were readded. But a few key changes we recently made tonight warranted a quick update for our viewers.
First off, I removed the "Lightbox" modification, since it accidentally removed the ability to download an image in some browsers --- I apologize to those who were affected by this.
The "filmstrip" has been removed, since it took up space and increased the loading times --- we can reenable this if enough people wish to have it back. I also removed the ability to send an ecard (haven't seen this used that much), or post comments/ratings. The latter were removed, due to the amount of manpower it would take to fix if a spambot managed to spam them with inappropriate links, or if someone voted negatively on a bunch of images for the fun of it. I've noticed a slight speed boost by making these modifications, which is a good thing.
I am hoping to have the head of our Oekaki, kaos knight/Kao Dragon/Kao Kao, take over duties in uploading the remaining files --- so I can focus on the secret "project" and the main website.

The Gallery's skin has been revamped to match the new layout on the main website. Due to most of the core code being held deep inside the script, I could not image like I did for the Topsite and Oekaki --- instead, I used colors from the layout and went from there. The script was also upgraded to v1.4.12, which was a security/bug fix. As mentioned before, please contact us if you encounter any problems.
Since the forum is very much like the Gallery in how the tables are coded, for now, at least, expect a similar color scheme when I edit the forum. However, I will be editing some parts to make it more user-friendly, as well as giving objects, such as the New Thread/Post buttons, a more "professional" look.
I am hoping to get some of the projects I have installed, but not configured yet, set up on the Forum, then split my attention between finishing the uploading on the Gallery and working on Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology content, along with doing some small site fixes (such as adding the Wii as a console link, adding the newly announced games, etc).
BTW, I am looking for someone to help add the remaining images to the Gallery. It is a simple job (adding some categories/albums, and adding the images to them). If you do well enough, you might be able to obtain a permanent position. If you are interested, leave a reply on this post --- the Staff will decide on the interested participant(s) once one or more people post here.

In the process of checking for something on the Gallery, I saw that theme error. I dunno what caused it, but it was due to the script resetting to using the "default" theme Classic, which we do not use. Since that theme didn't exist, it gave that error.
That problem should now be fixed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused --- since we do not know just how long that error was there for (I just noticed it a few minutes ago).

Some updates on the Gallery this Wednesday morning.
The Tales of Fandom: Volume 2 section has been updated with the images released on Tales Channel yesterday. Also, the Tales of Legendia section is back online, which brings our Gallery image total back to about over 1,000 images. So, that leaves about 4,000 more or so to go! xd

The Gallery skin has been updated to match the new site look. It was a simple change, so things aren't that much different now (except for the fact that the menus are in separate tables now --- this is something that will be quickly fixed on the Topsite and Oekaki).
In the next few days, the entire Gallery will be deinstalled, and reinstalled fresh (due to a major change in the filing structure I made, it would be easier to readd everything this way). This will likely take a few weeks, and will be done as I work on other sections (so you'll see semi-sporadic updates to it, until I'm finished). We apologize for this inconvenience, but it should make things easier in the long run.
EDIT: The Gallery is now back online, with a portion of the Tales of Destiny (PS2) re-added. For the larger images, you may notice that instead of the old "laggy" JavaScript window opening up, we now have "Lightbox"-type image viewer that is very much like the one used on the site. I used an "alternate" version of that script, called Slimbox, which requires *much* less JavaScript than Lightbox2, so you should see a noticeable difference in speed. This was also used on the Oekaki for thumbnails, and will replace Lightbox2 on the main site shortly (since the CMS already uses the scripts needed for Slimbox).

The Gallery should now be fully revamped layout-wise. Since the CSS for the forum is very intensive, please inform a staff member if something has not been skinned right or appears out of place, as I could have very well missed something during the update.
Finals is next week for me, so I will not be accessing this computer till Thursday night (save any school-related assignments). DBAM will be in charge of the site in general, and KeiKusanagi will also be helping on the forum-end. Please redirect any urgent comments towards them until Thursday.
To anyone else having finals this week --- best of luck!
