(Note that the two class videos are from earlier in the week --- due to site/university stuff, I didn't have time to make the post for them.)
We have two more class videos (Warrior & Paladin), as well as two more Tales of characters (Luke fon Fabre & Lilith Aileron). The class section is now fully completed, and we're nearing the end of the new Tales of characters being revealed (since the game is releasing in Japan at the end of the month).
As you've probably seen around the internet on various forums and websites, Absolute Zero (headed by throughhim, who's working on the Tales of Innocence translation) & Phantasian Productions (headed by Cless, who's known for working on the Tales of Phantasia (PSX) and Tales of Destiny 2 (PS2) translations) are working together on a translation of the Director's Cut version of the PlayStation2 remake of Tales of Destiny.
They had planned to keep the project, which was secretly in the works since the Director's Cut version was released in Japan last January, but Penance's translation project on the official Tales of forums caused them to reveal the translation early (Cless was planning on revealing the game once his Phantasia translation was finished). They will be releasing a menu patch at first, followed by a full translation of the game. As with both of their prior translations, it will be done as if Namco-Bandai was releasing the game at retail, so the production values will be very high.
The official minisite has been updated with two more classes (Thief & Monk) and two more system videos. The first shows off the slot system, which allows you to have four preset Arte combinations ready, so you don't need to pause and go into the menu each time to edit your Artes --- instead, you just switch them in battle. The other video shows that some of the treasure chests have a puzzle that needs to be completed --- in this video's case, you need to move puzzle pieces around until you make out the summon spirit Undine.
The official Tales of Vesperia minisite was updated with New Years-themed cards, featuring each of the characters and one group shot, using chibi artwork. They can be viewed on this page in our Gallery.
throughhim413 posted this video on his blog as an Christmas present for everyone keeping up on his Tales of Innocence translation. Be sure to leave a comment on his blog and YouTube video after you're done watching it.
The official minisite has been updated with two new system videos. One shows off the player's Mystic Arte, and the other shows off the Infinity Jam system taken from Tales of Innocence.
It's that time again --- the questionnaire for Tales of Hearts is now up. As usual, we have all of the wallpapers available for download, via the link above.
Symphonic Heaven has gotten a hold of a English screenshot of Tales of Hearts. As you can see, it looks extremely professional, so I doubt this is a simple Photoshop attempt (you would have seen discolorations and the like around the font).
When Symphonic Heaven discovers any more information about this screenshot, we'll be sure to keep you updated. For now, why not comment on your theory about the origins of the image? ;)
As some people guessed, this was a fan translation-ish image, which was done by throughhim, known lately for doing the Tales of Innocence fan translation. We meant this originally as a way to build up hype to get Namco-Bandai to notice the interest in the game, as well as fans outside of the official forums to know about the game.
Things began to turn into some sort of a viral marketing thing, so we decided to end the speculation before things got out of hand. If you want to see throughhim's statement on this, please check this link.
