It took me about 69 hours without doing hardly any sidequests. :o
Funny thing is, most of the dungeons seems significantly shorter and more streamlined than other Tales games, which is a good thing in a way. I suppose most of the time is eaten up from skits and the wild goose chase nature of the latter stages of the game. It seems like you actually spend little time playing and more time running errands. It's always "Let's go to this town and do this. Now let's go to this town and talk to this person." Repeat X10.
However, the ending is about perfect. It manages to wrap up everything without being too long winded. Plus I like the art style in the portraits shown during the credits. It's certainly a nice change of pace.
Overall, I think Symphonia is a bit better. Abyss is still a very good game though.
