The PS2 version has come out in japan but is it going to ever come out in America?
Ive seen previews for it, but that was like 2 years ago. The Ps2 version also has a lot more gaming and the overall game play is alot better. Atleast thats what ive heard.
Yeah i know! i saw like them advertising it like 2 years ago, i really wanted it to come out on ps2 cos then i could get all the new spells and scared light and the hi-ougi's, im so glad toa has hi-ougis :]
The PS2 version is not coming out here, due to Nintendo funding the translation (in essence, they own the script, not Namco-Bandai).
BTW, the PS2 version lagged somewhat, as well as a few scenes having to be done in cut scenes rather than in-game, due to the PS2's processor (the game was designed for the GameCube, which has better specs than the PS2, mind you).

Yeah, I'm kinda glad they made a tales game for gamecude though i have a gamecube and ps2 i got to the tales seires through tos on the game cube, then legendia, then abyss, and phantasia.
But it would be awsome for the ps2 too, you know alot Sync XD

My friend claims he saw a site that said this game came out in the U.S. Either he is mistaken, or the site was wrong, both of which are very possible.
I told him I never saw a PS2 version in any stores, but he still insisted it came out here. *sigh*
In any event, about the lagging, doesn't the GameCube have faster loader times anyway?

There was never a PS2 version in the US, simply because Bamco would have to retranslate the script (since Nintendo owns the game script, IIRC), which would be a waste of time.
Most of the PS2 lagging-issues came probably came from them not spending much time recoding the game, and simply "emulating" the GCN coding (think
Tales of Phantasia on the GBA, or Chrono Trigger on the PSX).
I really wish that the PS2 release would come out in US, though... Simply so I could be satisfied with having played it....

Yep. IIRC, that also has a pretty funny dialogue that goes with it. :^.^:
